TT280 - Web applications: design, development and management This course provides a history of the web with an introduction
to the standards and systems used to apply a range of development options, and their importance to the future of the internet/WWW. This is achieved
by the introduction of XHTML, HTML and CSS - the mainstay of static pages on web pages today. |

TT281 - The client side of application development An introduction to website infrastructure/frameworks and the distribution of processing
of web pages across the users PC and the site server. The module also covers an introduction to the scripting languages used to generate interaction for the user in
selection and display of the required information. |

TT282 - The server-side of application development Here the module takes a deeper look into the requirements for the design and production of web pages on
the server, and an understanding of the role of the server in this service. This necessitates further involvement with more scripted languages. At this stage the early
planning of web pages is covered. |

TT380 - Databases within website design The importance of databases in todays internet/WWW can not be underestimated, and is covered by
this module. Tools and techniques for website design and application are covered - including server-side scripting and database management. The requirements and
need for reliable and scalable web sites is also covered within planning and design. |

TT381 - Open source development tools Opensource software and it's influence on the continued development of the internet is introduced. A
history of OS software, it's inception, development and growth are discussed relative to commercial packages. The affect of licensing on the use of these packages is
also covered with good examples of packages provided on the internet today. |

TT382 - Web server management, performance and tuning The final module covers the importance and requirements of managing your website on a
server. This necessitates learning of the requirements ond tools used to set up servers and managed them to enhance performance, security and service. This also includes
the maintenance and planning requirements of the server, and site, infrastructure. |
